Examining the motor starter
A MEM Startet motor starter was supplied with the drill. It is not clear whether this is the original one but it is certainly of the correct age.
The video shows the starter in detail and covers it's operation.
This example is in very poor condition with a large hole in the cast iron case, damage to the trip coils and rust everywhere.
The starter will not be reused due to the poor condition and because it does not have a no-volt release.
